Endearist stays usable without AI. When you choose AI, only the selected task context is sent: either from your device with your own provider key, or through our managed EU-routed path on Pro Cloud. Light uses fast Haiku-class models for everyday drafts; Pro routes nuanced work — message tone, weekly reach-out suggestions, journal extraction — to Sonnet-class models for richer output. No tracking, no data sold, no metered drip-pricing on top of the flat monthly fee.

Why pay-once instead of a subscription?
Because the core app is local-first software, not a hosted database we have to keep running for you. Pro Lifetime lets you buy the relationship system once and keep using it on your devices. We only charge subscriptions where there is a real recurring cost: managed sync, bundled AI, storage, routing, and support.
What happens when Endearist 2.0 arrives?
All v1.x updates are included in the Lifetime price. If and when we build v2.0 with genuinely new foundations, Pro Lifetime buyers from v1 get a 50 % discount on the upgrade — no forced repurchase. That is our written promise.
Can I upgrade from Free to Pro later?
Yes, at any time. Your data stays on your device — the upgrade purchase on endearist.com delivers a license code by email, which you enter in the app settings. No data migration, no restart needed.
What is "Bring your own AI"?
Pro Lifetime includes all AI features — you bring your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or another provider. The key stays on your device, you pay the provider directly, and we add nothing on top. The two Pro Cloud tiers bundle managed AI so you never have to set up your own account: Pro Cloud Light covers ~250 actions/month (about 8 a day, fast Haiku-class routing); Pro Cloud covers ~600 actions/month (about 20 a day, richer Sonnet-class routing) plus voice-note transcription. Everything stays EU-routed.
Can I use Endearist without AI?
Yes. Endearist works as a local-first personal CRM without AI. AI only runs when you choose an AI action. With Bring your own AI, the selected prompt goes from your device to the provider you configured. With Pro Cloud, the selected prompt goes through our managed EU-routed AI path. Your whole relationship database is not uploaded just because AI exists in the product.
What's the difference between Pro Cloud Light and Pro Cloud?
Pro Cloud Light (€4.99/month) is sized generously for typical use — about 250 AI actions a month on fast Haiku-class models, which covers daily use with comfortable headroom. Pro Cloud (€9.99/month) upgrades to about 600 actions a month on richer Sonnet-class models, plus voice-note transcription (up to 60 minutes/month), weekly reach-out suggestions across all Dunbar layers, and a family-share seat. The real upgrade is quality and features, not raw volume. Same managed-EU promise on both. You can switch between them any time.
Does sync cost extra?
No. Pro Lifetime includes sync over any backend you choose: Google Drive, iCloud, local folder, WebDAV, or LAN-Direct — all AES-256-GCM-encrypted, all at no extra cost. Both Pro Cloud tiers additionally provide managed sync on Endearist-owned servers, for those who prefer not to configure a backend themselves.
Can I pay yearly and save?
Yes. Both Pro Cloud tiers offer a yearly billing option: €49.99/year for Pro Cloud Light (instead of €4.99 × 12 = €59.88) and €99.99/year for Pro Cloud (instead of €9.99 × 12 = €119.88). That is roughly 17 % off, or two months free. Toggle "Yearly" above the pricing grid to switch. You can cancel a yearly subscription at any time — the unused portion is refunded pro rata where local law requires. Pro Lifetime has no yearly option because the lifetime price already covers the rest of v1.x.
