UpHabit closed on 9 April 2026, so nothing on this page is something you can still sign up for. We have kept it because people search for it and because there is data worth rescuing. UpHabit was the best mobile-first networking-reminder app in the category — its core insight is that the personal CRM's real job is "remind me to reach out before I lose this relationship", and it executed that focus beautifully on iOS and Android. If you're a relationship-driven professional who lives on mobile and primarily wants smart, gentle reminders rather than a deep journal or AI suite, UpHabit was a strong choice and we said so. It was, however, scoped tightly around reminders — no desktop, no journal, no AI features at the level of Mesh or of what Endearist is planning — and that focus is its strength and its limit. Endearist is not publicly available yet. The launch list is a notification signup, not app access or a purchase. Platforms and capabilities have separate release approvals.
Where does my data live with UpHabit versus Endearist?
UpHabit: was hosted on the company's cloud (US/AWS) — contacts, notes, and reminder schedules synced through their servers. With the service closed since 9 April 2026 that sync is not something to plan around; get your export off the device while you still can. Endearist: not publicly available yet. The primary copy is intended to stay on your device. End-to-end encrypted sync over storage you run yourself — a local or shared folder, or a WebDAV server — is planned for v1. Google Drive as a destination is not decided yet. Managed sync on Endearist Cloud is planned for after v1, as part of the Pro Cloud subscription only.
How does each tool access AI?
UpHabit never shipped AI features — reminders were rule-based (touch frequency per contact tier) rather than LLM-driven. That keeps the app fast and private, but means there's no apology drafting, message rewriting, or voice-note transcription. Endearist's AI is planned as strictly opt-in: your own key, or managed AI in a proposed Pro Cloud subscription. AI with your own key: not publicly available yet. Status: planned for v1. What do UpHabit and Endearist cost over three years?
UpHabit shut down on 9 April 2026 — its makers said the product worked but never became a commercial success. There is no longer a price to compare: the App Store and Google Play listings no longer resolve, and existing installs are unmaintained. Endearist cannot be bought yet either; its proposed prices are Pro Lifetime at €69 once and Pro Cloud Light at €4.99/month (~€180 over 3 years). If UpHabit still opens on your phone, export your contacts from Settings before anything else. Proposed plan, not purchasable yet: local core and data export. What doesn't Endearist do?
We don't have UpHabit's smart-introductions feature (suggesting two of your contacts who should know each other) and our reminder design doesn't yet model touch-frequency tiers as elegantly. UpHabit's mobile-only focus also made it lighter than the cross-platform app Endearist is building. If reminders are 80% of what you need and you live on your phone, UpHabit's approach was more focused.

When to pick UpHabit
When is UpHabit the better choice?
You cannot pick UpHabit any more — it closed on 9 April 2026. If what you wanted was its reminder engine, that is a reasonable thing to want, and it has not left the market: the touch-frequency tier model UpHabit popularised now shows up in Dex and in Mesh, and Endearist is designing per-person cadence reminders too, though it is not released yet. We would rather point you at something live than let a dead product sit here looking like a choice. If the app still opens on your phone, export your contacts from Settings first. System reminders: not publicly available yet. Status: planned for v1.
Switching
How do I switch from UpHabit to Endearist?
Keep a copy of UpHabit's CSV export before switching. Endearist is not publicly available yet, so the mapping of dates, notes and tiers has not been verified in a released build. Test a small import before cancelling UpHabit; cross-device sync is not available to enable today.
