Endearist Paths

Safety and Support

10 modules · 1 hour · Beginner

A safety-first path for situations where fear, control, isolation, or threats change which relationship tools are appropriate.

OutcomeLearn to distinguish conflict from control, use conversation tools carefully, plan support for yourself or someone else, and put safety before repair.

Who is this path for?

Anyone worried about their own situation or someone else's, who wants the difference between a difficult relationship and an unsafe one stated plainly.

How should I work through this path?

Read the first module before any of the others. It draws the line this whole path depends on, and the rest is written assuming you have it. Nothing here is a substitute for a professional or a helpline, and the modules say so where it matters — this path is for orientation and language, not assessment. If you are reading it about someone else, the modules on how to be useful without taking over are the ones worth your time; the most common failure in supporting someone is moving faster than they have decided to. And if reading this is uncomfortable in a way you recognise rather than abstractly, that recognition is worth taking seriously. On pace: this is not a path to read in one sitting, and there is no benefit to finishing it. Take the module that matches your question and stop there. The rest will still be here. If you are supporting someone, the most common mistake after moving too fast is going quiet once the crisis passes — support that arrives in week one and disappears by week six teaches people not to ask again. And keep your own footing. Sustained support is only possible from someone who has some, which is why the last modules are about the supporter rather than the person being supported.
