Endearist Paths
Fairness and Life Admin
12 modules · 1 hour · Beginner
A practical path for mental load, money, household work, family logistics, and fair ownership in close relationships.
OutcomeMake invisible work visible, distinguish helping from ownership, plan money conversations, and build a repeatable weekly check-in.
Who is this path for?
Households where the split looks fair on paper and does not feel fair to at least one person — usually about noticing, not chores.
How should I work through this path?
Do the inventory module before you discuss anything. Almost every argument about fairness is really an argument about two different mental lists, and comparing the lists on paper ends more of these disputes than any amount of discussion does. The path is deliberately concrete — who notices, who remembers, who decides — because abstract fairness conversations are unwinnable. Both people should read it. A fairness path worked through by one person becomes a case file, and arriving with a case makes the other person a defendant, which is the fastest way to lose the argument you are technically right about. One more thing the inventory tends to expose: a lot of what feels unfair is invisible rather than unshared. Remembering the appointment, noticing the supplies are low, holding the shape of the week — none of it shows up in a chore split, and all of it is work. The modules on naming that are the ones most people find useful, including the person who thought the split was already fine. Redo the inventory in three months. Arrangements drift back, usually without anyone deciding to, and the second pass takes ten minutes and catches it.
