Orvo is the closest thing to us on the axis most people mean when they say "privacy": it stores your data on servers in the European Union, under GDPR, and says plainly that it doesn't sell it. In a category where almost everything defaults to US cloud, that is worth naming, and if EU hosting is your requirement, Orvo meets it and we won't pretend otherwise. It is also the more capable product on paper — a visual relationship map, a Command Center that ranks today's actions, voice transcription, AI summaries, and Google, Outlook, and WhatsApp sync. What it is not is local-first: EU servers are still servers, and Orvo can read what's on them. That distinction is the whole reason this page exists, and it matters less than we'd like it to for most people — but if it matters to you, it decides the question.
Where does my data live with Orvo versus Endearist?
Orvo: cloud-hosted on servers in the EU, GDPR-compliant, TLS in transit. Your contacts and notes sit in Orvo's database, where Orvo's AI features can reach them — that's not a criticism, it's how the product works. Endearist: your device first — sync optional via your own cloud (Google Drive, iCloud, WebDAV) or Endearist Cloud (EU-hosted). The difference isn't jurisdiction, it's custody: EU hosting protects you from the wrong government; local-first protects you from the wrong quarter.
How does each tool access AI?
Orvo's AI — summaries, voice transcription, the Command Center's prioritisation — runs server-side on your stored data. It's the same trade every hosted AI CRM makes, and Orvo makes it inside the EU, which is the better version of that trade. Endearist's default is no AI at all: Magic Buttons run client-side. Bring your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and it stays on your device. If you'd rather not manage a key, Pro Cloud Light bundles ~250 EU-routed actions/month for €4.99/month, Pro Cloud ~600 actions plus voice-note transcription for €9.99/month.
What do Orvo and Endearist cost over three years?
Orvo Pro: $15/month. Orvo Business: $30/month. No lifetime tier. Over 3 years on Pro: ~€540. Endearist Free: €0. Endearist Pro Lifetime: €69 once — it beats three years of Orvo Pro within the first five months. Endearist Pro Cloud: €9.99/month (~€360 over 3 years). If you need the Business tier's shared contacts and pipeline, Endearist has no equivalent at any price.
What doesn't Endearist do?
We don't have a leads pipeline, an analytics dashboard, team seats, or an RSS newsfeed on your contacts — and we don't intend to. Orvo's Kanban pipeline is a sales shape applied to relationships, which is a legitimate thing to want and the opposite of what we build; our warmth score is per person, not per deal. We also don't do WhatsApp or Outlook contact sync, and we don't have Orvo's visual relationship map, which is a genuinely nice piece of interface.

When to pick Orvo
When is Orvo the better choice?
Pick Orvo if you need EU data residency and a hosted product in the same box, and you're building a career network rather than tending a household. The Command Center — one ranked list of who to act on today — is a better answer to "where do I start?" than a contact list, and the relationship map is the kind of thing people actually open. If your relationships are professional, if you want Google, Outlook, and WhatsApp to keep the address book current without you, and if GDPR compliance on paper is what your employer or your conscience requires, Orvo is a defensible and honest choice. Be clear-eyed about one thing: EU hosting answers where your data is, not who can read it. Orvo can. If that's fine — and for most people it genuinely is — then the €540 over three years buys you a more automatic product than ours.
Switching
How do I switch from Orvo to Endearist?
If you're on Orvo and want to switch: export your contacts from Orvo (Settings → Export) and import the resulting CSV or vCard into Endearist via Settings → Import — names, emails, phone numbers, companies, and tags carry across. What won't migrate: the relationship map's layout, Command Center rankings, and any analytics history, all of which are computed views rather than stored records. Pull your notes and interaction logs out in the same export and check they're populated before you cancel; per-contact notes are the part worth being careful about. If you're leaving mainly for data custody rather than price, take the export while your account is still active — a GDPR data request works too, but it's slower than the button.
