Endearist vs UpHabit
A fair, specific comparison — written so you'd be comfortable if a UpHabit engineer read it.
Fairness pledge
UpHabit is the best mobile-first networking-reminder app in the category — its core insight is that the personal CRM's real job is "remind me to reach out before I lose this relationship", and it executes that focus beautifully on iOS and Android. If you're a relationship-driven professional who lives on mobile and primarily wants smart, gentle reminders rather than a deep journal or AI suite, UpHabit is a strong choice and we say so. It is, however, scoped tightly around reminders — no desktop, no journal, no AI features at the level of Endearist or Mesh — and that focus is its strength and its limit.
Where your data lives
UpHabit: hosted on the company's cloud (US/AWS) — contacts, notes, and reminder schedules sync through their servers to your iOS and Android devices. Endearist: your device first — sync optional via your own cloud (Google Drive, iCloud, WebDAV) or Endearist Cloud (EU-hosted).
How AI is accessed
UpHabit v1 has no AI features — reminders are rule-based (touch frequency per contact tier) rather than LLM-driven. That keeps the app fast and private, but means there's no apology drafting, message rewriting, or voice-note transcription. Endearist's AI is opt-in: bring your own key (on-device), or use Pro Cloud Light (~250 EU-routed actions/mo, €4.99) or Pro Cloud (~600 actions/mo + voice, €9.99).
3-year total cost
UpHabit Premium: $7.99/month — ~€280 over 3 years. Endearist Pro Lifetime: €69 once. Endearist Pro Cloud Light: €4.99/month — ~€180 over 3 years.
What we don't do
We don't have UpHabit's smart-introductions feature (suggesting two of your contacts who should know each other) and our reminder engine doesn't yet model touch-frequency tiers as elegantly. UpHabit's mobile-only focus also makes it lighter than Endearist's cross-platform suite. If reminders are 80% of what you need and you live on your phone, UpHabit is more focused.

When to pick UpHabit
When UpHabit is the better fit.
If you're a busy professional who lives on mobile and the primary failure mode you want fixed is "I forgot to follow up with X for six months", UpHabit's reminder engine is the best-tuned in the category. The smart-introductions feature is also unique. Pick UpHabit when reminders are 80% of the value and you don't need a journal, AI, or desktop. We do reminders too — but we also do the rest, which means we're a heavier tool by design.
Switching
Coming from UpHabit?
UpHabit's CSV export lives under Settings → Account → Export. Endearist imports the CSV directly via Settings → Import → CSV: contacts, notes, last-touched dates, and tier labels map across in one step. Touch-frequency tiers import as custom fields you can then use to drive Endearist's reminder rules. Allow about 5 minutes for an import of a few hundred contacts to settle on the first device before enabling sync.
